United Methodist Women

The Calvert City United Methodist Women is an active group of women of varying ages.  As our purpose states, we are interested in helping women and children both local and global.  We pledge money each year individually and as a unit to the District to help reach this goal.

Our unit meets every second Thursday night, with the exception of January and February and July and August, in our church Fellowship Hall.  We always welcome any woman, whether Methodist or not, to join in our studies and fellowship.

The United Methodist Men (UMM) hold their monthly meetings with programs varying in topics on Christian mission.  The men sometimes share a meal before their meeting.  Their meetings are held on the fourth Thursday of each month at 6:00 p.m.

United Methodist Youth Fellowship

Youth: Grades 6-12

The youth ministry partners with CCUMC and the community to serve students grades 6-12 of all faiths in their walk with God. Today's world is full of shallow and misguided things but we serve a God who is relevant and authentic. We use XP3 Students curriculum that focuses on the wonder, discovery and passion of God. Various activities and trips take place throughout the year. We meet on Wednesday nights from 7:00-8:00

Children's ProgramThe Children’s Ministry at Calvert City UMC exists to provide kids through 5th grade with a Biblical foundation for their life. We are an Orange ministry that uses First Look (preschool) and 252 Basics (K-5). We want our kids to know by the age of 5 that, “God Made Me, God Loves Me, and Jesus wants to be my friend forever.” Likewise, by the time a student goes to Middle School we want them to know the 3 Basics Truths that: “I need to make the wise choice, I can trust God no matter what, and I should treat others the way I want to be treated.”

Sunday School (9:45-10:45) offers age appropriate classes and curriculum Preschool K-2nd grades 3rd-5th Grades

Wednesday nights offer a continuation of what is learned from Sunday school. We eat at 5:15 with activities starting at 6:00 until 7:00 which involves music and Bible lessons. Studies are also offered for parents to help them grow and provide community with each other.
